Our founders

Areta Aramak Research Services was founded by a dedicated group of public health experts in Afghanistan, each with extensive experience in epidemiology, biostatistics, and health systems research. The founders are committed to addressing the pressing health challenges in the region by delivering evidence-based solutions and empowering local professionals through training and capacity-building. Their collective expertise and deep understanding of the local context drive the organization’s mission to improve public health outcomes through innovative, data-driven approaches.

Our story

Areta Aramak Research Services was established in 2021 in response to the significant expatriation of public health experts from Afghanistan, which left a critical gap in the country's health system. Faced with this shortage of expertise, a group of dedicated public health professionals came together with a shared vision: to enhance the public health landscape through robust capacity building and the integration of evidence-based practices.

Driven by the need to address pressing health challenges and improve intervention strategies, the founders launched Areta Aramak Research Services to provide high-quality research, innovative solutions, and training to empower local professionals and strengthen the health system from within.

We believe in impact of evidence-based intervention in public health. Therefore the capacities in Areta Aramak have been channeled to improve this approach.
